ABSTRAK
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran circuit learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 16 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (studi pada: kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan sistem pemerintahan Indonesia dan peran lembaga negara sebagai pelaksana kedaulatan rakyat).
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan design penelitian Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 16 Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 172 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 68 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Uji persyaratan analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, uji independen, dan uji linearitas dengan taraf signifikansi penelitian sebesar 5%. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi satu prediktor.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran circuit learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 16 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (studi pada: kompetensi dasar sistem pemerintahan Indonesia dan peran lembaga negara sebagai pelaksana kedaulatan rakyat) yang dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis data yaitu diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,413. Hasil tersebut dikonsultasikan dengan nilai rtabel dengan N=34 dan taraf signifikansi 5% maka diperoleh rtabel = 0,339. Karena rhitung > rtabel yaitu 0,413 > 0,339 sehingga ada pengaruh model pembelajaran circuit learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Adapun persamaan regresi diperoleh persamaan ?= 47,30 + 0,722 X jadi dari persamaan regresi menggambarkan satu angka pada variabel X maka diikuti kenaikan variabel Y sebesar 0,722. Besarnya pengaruh pada model pembelajaran circuit learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa yaitu 17% sedangkan sisanya 83% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

ABSTRACT
The objective of research was to find out whether or not there was an effect of Circuit Learning model on the learning achievement of the 8th graders of 16th Public Junior High School of Surakarta in the school year of 2014/2015 (A Study on: Basic Competency of Describing Indonesian Government System and the role of State Institution as the Executive of People Sovereignty).
This research employed experimental method with Posttest Control Group Design research. The population of research was the 8th graders of 16th Public Junior High School of Surakarta in the school year of 2014/2015 consisting of 172 students. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling. The sample of research consisted of 68 students. Techniques of collecting data used were questionnaire and test. The analytical prerequisite test in this study employed normality, independent, and linearity tests at significance level of 5%. Technique of analyzing data used was regression analysis technique with one predictor.
Considering the result of research, it could be concluded that there was a significant effect of Circuit Learning model on the learning achievement of 8th graders of 16th Public Junior High School of Surakarta in the school year of 2014/2015 (A Study on: Basic Competency of Describing Indonesian Government System and the role of State Institution as the Executive of People Sovereignty), as indicated by the result of data analysis with rxy value = 0.413. The result was consulted with rtable value with N =34 and significance level of 5%, therefore rtable = 0.339. Because rstatistic > rtable 0.413 > 0.339, indicating that there was an effect of Circuit learning Model on the student learning achievement. The simple linear regression equation obtained was ? = 47.30 + 0.722 X, so the regression equation represented one digit of X variable, followed with the increase in Y variable of 0.722. The contribution of Circuit Learning model to student learning achievement was 17% while the rest of 83% was affected by other factors.
