ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, indeks pembangunan manusia, dan populasi terhadap kinerja lingkungan di negara-negara ASEAN tahun 2001-2012.
Dalam penelitian ini digunakan model regresi data panel dengan sebelumnya digunakan uji Mackinnon, White, dan Davidson (Uji MWD) untuk memilih model yang paling tepat dalam penelitian ini. Kemudian dalam pemilihan metode digunakan uji Chow dan uji Hausman dan selanjutnya dilakukan uji statistik, yakni uji R2, uji f, dan uji t.
Hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan populasi terhadap kinerja lingkungan mendukung hipotesis environmental kuznets curve dan tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara indeks pembangunan manusia dengan kinerja lingkungan selama periode penelitian.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of economic growth, human development index, and the population on the environmental performance in ASEAN countries in 2001-2012.
This study used panel data regression model with previously used test Mackinnon, White and Davidson (MWD Test) to choose the most appropriate model in the study. Later in the selection of methods the researcher used Chow and Hausman test and statistical tests, namely R2 test, f test and t test are then performed.
The results of the analysis have shown that the relationship between economic growth and population on the environmental performance supports the environmental kuznets curve hypothesis and found no significant correlation between the human development index in the environmental performance during the study period.
