Hubungan Waktu Transport Mukosiliar dengan Gejala Rinosinusitis Kronik di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Rinosinusitis merupakan proses inflamasi mukosa hidung dan
sinus paranasal, dimana salah satu penyebab patofisiologinya disebabkan karena
fungsi silia terganggu. Sinkronitas jumlah silia, frekuensi gerak silia, sifat-sifat
elastisitas dan vikositas mukus memengaruhi kecepatan dari transport mukosiliar.
Kegagalan transpor mukosiliar dan menurunnya ventilasi sinus merupakan faktor
utama berkembangnya rinosinusitis kronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui Hubungan Waktu Transport Mukosiliar dengan Gejala Rinosinusitis
Kronik di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik
dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit
Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Sampel yang digunakan adalah pasien
rinosinusitis kronik, tidak mempunyai gangguan pengecapan rasa manis, tidak
memiliki riwayat trauma atau operasi hidung dan sinus, tidak memiliki riwayat
penyakit sitemik (Hipertensi dan Diabetes Melitus), dan tidak merokok. Skor
gejala klinis dinilai dengan kuesioner SNOT-20 yaitu instrumen pengukuran
berskala 0-5. Pengukuran waktu transport mukosiliar dengan uji sakarin. Partikel
sakarin berukuran 0,5 – 1 mm diletakkan pada ujung depan konka inferior,
kemudian waktu diukur sampai terdapat rasa manis di tenggorok dalam satuan
menit. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara consecutive sampling yang diseleksi
menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan uji
korelasi Pearson.
Hasil Penelitian : Dari total 30 responden didapatkan korelasi yang bermakna
antara waktu transport mukosiliar dengan gejala rinosinusitis kronik di RSUD Dr.
Moewardi Surakarta. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan besar korelasi r = 0,495
diperoleh nilai p = 0,005 (p < 0,05) yang mengindikasikan H1 diterima.
Simpulan : Terdapat hubungan waktu transport mukosiliar dengan gejala
rinosinusitis kronik di RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.

ABSTRACT
Background: Rhinosinusitis is an inflammation of the nasal mucosa and
paranasal sinuses, which is one of the pathophysiology causes due to impaired
cilia function. Synchronicity number of cilia, cilia movement frequency,
properties of elasticity and vicocity mucus are affects the rate of mucociliary
transport. Mucociliary clearance failures and decreased of sinus ventilation is the
main factor of developing chronic rhinosinusitis. This study aims to determine the
relation between mucociliary transporting time with Chronic Rhinosinusitis
Symptoms in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
Methods: This study was an observational analytic study with cross sectional
approach. This research was conducted at the RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
The samples were patients with chronic rhinosinusitis, without sweet taste
disfunction, trauma or surgery of the nose and sinuse history, history of systemic
disease (Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus), and smoking. Clinical symptom
score was assessed by questionnaire Snot-20 which have 0-5 scale measurement
instrument. Measurement of mucociliary clearance time with the saccharine test.
Saccharin particle size of 0.5 to 1 mm is placed on the front of the inferior
turbinate, then the time was measured until there is a sweet taste in the throat in
minutes. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling were selected using
inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed with Pearson correlation test.
Results: From 30 respondents in total, this study have found significant
correlation between mucociliary clearance time with the symptoms of chronic
rhinosinusitis in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Based on analysis of large data
correlation with r = 0.495 obtained p = 0.005 (p < 0.05) which indicates H1
accepted.
Conclusion: There is a relation between mucociliary clearance time with chronic
rhinosinusitis symptoms in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
