Perbedaan Pengaruh Kentang Kuning dan Kentang Hitam terhadap Respons Glukosa Darah Postprandial Wanita Dewasa Muda

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Semakin meningkatnya jumlah penderita diabetes mellitus menuntut semakin berkembangnya penatalaksanaan dan pencegahan diabetes mellitus, salah satunya adalah upaya kontrol glukosa darah dengan diet yang baik. Kentang yang seringkali dijadikan makanan pengganti nasi memiliki banyak jenis, seperti kentang kuning dan kentang hitam. Kedua kentang tersebut memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang berbeda, dimana diketahui bahwakandungan nutrisi yang berbeda dapat memberikan respons glukosa darah postprandialyang berbeda pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh kentang kuning dan kentang hitam terhadap respons glukosa darah postprandial wanita dewasa muda.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian bersifat kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan pre-test dan post-test. Responden merupakan 30 wanita dewasa muda dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh normal, serta tidak merokok dan minum minuman beralkohol. Responden tidak menderita diabetes mellitus dan penyakit lain. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah consecutive sampling. Kadar glukosa darah puasa sebelum konsumsi kentang kuning, serta kadar glukosa darah 1 dan 2 jam postprandial kentang kuningdiukur dahulu. Kemudian diberikanwash-out period selama 1 minggu. Selanjutnya,dilakukan pengukuran seperti sebelumnya dengan pemberian kentang hitam. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon.
Hasil Penelitian:Hasil uji Wilcoxonmenunjukkan p kadar glukosa darah puasa, kadar glukosa darah 1 jam postprandial, dan kadar glukosa darah 2 jam postprandial kentang kuning dan kentang hitam sebesar 0,681; 0,003; dan 0,005. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kadar glukosa darah 1 dan 2 jam postprandial, serta tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kadar glukosa darah puasa.
Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh kentang kuning dan kentang hitam terhadap respons glukosa darah postprandial wanita dewasa muda.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The growing of diabetics insisted the development of the treatment and prevention, one of the ways is to control the blood glucose through a well-balanced diet. Literally, potato, used as a rice substitute, has various types, such as,Solanum tuberosum L.andPlectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. However, these potatoes have different nutrients in which may gain different postprandial blood glucose response. Therefore, this research was conducted to identify the influential disparity between Solanum tuberosum L. and Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. through postprandial blood glucose response on young women.
Methods: This research was quasi-experimental research that employed pre-test and post-test. The respondents were 30 young women with normal Body Mass Index. They are non-smoker and non-alcoholic respondents, also neither diabetics nor high risk respondents; they were all healthy young adults. The sampling technique employed was consecutive sampling which considered the fasting blood glucose level before consuming Solanum tuberosum L., also an hour and two hours postprandial blood glucose level after consuming Solanum tuberosum L. After following these tests, there was a wash-out period during a week. Then, it proceeded to other intervention using Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. with a similar procedure. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by using Wilcoxon Test.
Results: Based on Wilcoxon Test, the researcher discovered 0.681; 0.003; and 0.005 as the results depicted in p of fasting blood glucose level, an hour postprandial blood glucose level, and two hours postprandial blood glucose level between Solanum tuberosum L.and Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. These results indicated that there are significant differences in an hour and two hours postprandial blood glucose levels between Solanum tuberosum L.and Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. Meanwhile, there is no significant difference on fasting blood glucose levels between Solanum tuberosum L.and Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng.
Conclusion: In addition, there is influential disparity between Solanum tuberosum L.and Plectranthus rotundifolius Poir. Spreng. through postprandial blood glucose response on young women.
