ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang
p=0,001.
Simpulan
Terdapat korelasi positif kuat dan bermakna nilai glycated haemoglobin dan kadar
soluable intercellular adhesion molecule-1pada Diabetes Melitus tipe 2.
Kata kunci : Diabetes melitus tipe 2, glycated haemoglobin, soluable intercellular
adhesion molecule-1
ABSTRACT
Background
Chronic hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes may impair endothelial function that lead
to the complication, Increasing concentrations of sICAM-1 indicates the degree of activation
or endothelial dysfunction in diabetes development. Examination HbA1c value is the gold
standard for monitoring glycemic control and has a strong predictive value for long-term
complications in type 2 diabetes.
Research Objective
This study aims to determine Prove that there is a correlation between the value of
HbA1c as a marker of glycemic control and the levels of sICAM-1 as a marker of endothelial
dysfunction in type 2 diabetes.
Research methods
This study using cross sectional study design to find the correlation between HbA1c
values and levels of sICAM-1 in type 2 diabetes, with a sample size of 20 patients with
diabetes mellitus type 2. Test correlation between HbA1c values with sICAM-1 levels using
test Pearson correlation with the significance value of p <0.05 was said to be meaningful.
Result
There is a positive correlation is quite robust and significance HbA1c values and
levels of sICAM-1 in diabetes mellitus type 2 with r=0.684 p=0.001.
Conclusion
There is a positive correlation is quite robust and significance HbA1c value and
sICAM-1 levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
