RANCANG BANGUN MESIN PENARIK UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN METODE STRESSED SHEETING WELD

ABSTRACT

Distortion is one of the problems found in the joint process by welding. Distortion is a dimensional changes that resulted of local heating on welding processes that causes unequal expansion. This researchs aimed to design and make pullers machine for development of methods Stressed Sheeting Weld. This method is done by giving stress and strain in the welded plate so that the thermal stress and thermal expansion due to welding can be neutralized to form the joint of a flat plate. Machines that are designed and made in the form of pullers machine are equipped with heater and temperature monitoring devices. The tools used are ATMegal6, LM35 temperature sensor, 3x4 Keypad, serial communication, thermocouple wire, plate heater and LCD. The experimental results show that the engine pullers are made to work properly. Results of testing by setting heater temperatures are 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C, showing the average temperature measured compared to the temperature setting was above 97%.
