Pemberdayaan Sumber Korporal: Pembelajaran Sejarah di SMA/MA Kota Surakarta

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of corporal sources in an effort to improve the quality of historical teaching in senior high schools of Surakarta in 2010/2011  Academic Year. This study uses classroom  action research which is conducted  through two cycles, whereas  each cycle  consists  of four  stages,  namely;  planning,  executing,  observating,   and  reflecting.  This classroom  action  research  purposes  to improve  the quality  of learning  history  by  empowering corporal source .The  subjects were the  students of XI IPS -3 of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta. The data collection  techniques and  tools were used in  the study were observational  techniques, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed that by empowering the corporal source can improve the quality of learning history. This is evidenced by the students who are being more active  in the teaching and learning process, and also, it could increase the students' achievement. At the first cycle, the students mastered  70% of the material by an average rating of 68.47, where as at the second cycle, the increase reached 20%, to be 90% by anaverage rating of 78.0S.
