The purpose of this study is to investigate whether tobacco companies doing their CSR activities as a CSR-washing or not. We seek the answer of these three questions; (1) Did tobacco companiesCSR activities signifanctly affect the sales of cigarretes? (2) Did tobacco companies CSR activities affect the number of smokers? And (3) Did tobacco companiesCSR activities signifanctly affect the growth of smokers? Using data that obtained from listed tobacco companies around the world, the results indicate that tobacco companies indeed engaged in CSR-washing activities. We found that tobacco companies CSRD significantly affected the number of sales, number of smokers, and the growth of smokers. In conclusion, we propose that there a relationship between CSRD and CSR-washing
