This  research  focuses  on  analysis  of  translation  techniques  applied  in translating computer and internet terms in a book entitled Wireless Networking in the Developing World 2nd  Edition and the quality of translation in terms of accuracy, acceptability and readability. The purposes of this research are: (1) to find out the types of computer and internet terms and to identify the translation techniques applied by the translators in translating the computer and internet terms found in the book entitled Wireless Networking in the Developing World 2nd Edition; and (2) to find out the impact of the use of translation techniques towards the quality of computer and internet terms translation in terms of accuracy, acceptability and readability.
This research was descriptive-qualitative research by using purposive sampling technique. This research is designed as single-case study. The data are all computer and internet terms found in the book entitled Wireless Networking in the Developing World 2nd edition. The data source of this research is a book entitled Wireless Networking in the Developing World 2nd edition. The total data found in the book are
108 data.
The analysis on the translation technique shows that there are 9 techniques applied by the translators in translating computer and internet terms. The researcher used the theory proposed by Molina and Albir (2002), Vinay and Darbelnet (2001) and Newmark (1988). In this research, the translators applied 6 techniques by Molina and Albir (2002). They are: a) pure borrowing; b) established equivalent; b) naturalized borrowing;  d)  modulation;  e)  particularization  and  f)  discursive  creation.  The translators also used literal technique by Vinay and Darbelnet (2001). Besides, the translators applied 2 techniques by Newmark (1988), they are: a) couplets and  b)triplets.
The research findings indicate that the techniques which produce the high level of accuracy in translation of computer and internet terms are pure borrowing and established equivalent. Meanwhile, the techniques which produce the low level of accuracy  in  translation  of  computer  and  internet  terms  is  literal.  In  term  of acceptability,  the  use  of  pure  borrowing  technique  also  gives  positive  effect.  It happens because the computer and internet terms are familiar, commonly and appropriate used by target readers. Meanwhile, the techniques which gives bad effect to the level of acceptability of the data are discursive creation and literal. In term of readability, pure borrowing and established equivalent techniques still produce high level of readability and literal technique produces low quality translation.
