Pemahaman Tenaga Pendidik Sekolah Dasar Tentang Kesetaraan dan Keadilan Gender di Surakarta

The  objective of this research is to study: (1) the gender bias in local content materials, (2) the teacher’s understanding on gender equality and equity, and (3) the gender biased in teaching learning process in class. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection was questionnaire, focus group discussion, and documentation. The unit analysis was individual. The respondent/informant were primary school teachers in Surakarta. The data was analyzed by gender analysis. The result of research was displayed by one-way tables, and qualitative descriptive. The conclusion of this research were: (1) there are gender bias in material of the local content, there are  allocation that men is dominant in public/productive roles, and women in domestic/reproductive roles, (2) teachers understanding on gender equality and equity are still low, and gender bias. (3) there are gender bias in teaching learning process. Gender bias happened caused by stereotype, gender value, and sub ordination.
