English teaching and learning process in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Surakarta

Abstrak 2006. The writer did job training in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah, Pasar Kliwon, Surakarta started from February until April 2006. This report discusses about the English teaching and learning process in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah. The objectives of this final project were to describe English teaching and learning process and the problems appearing in the English teaching and learning process in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah. In English teaching and learning process, the teacher and the students used handbook from Erlangga. The class activities consist of greeting, reviewing, presentation, and evaluation. The skills applied in the English lesson were listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By giving activities such as games and watching video in teaching English, the students were more interested in learning English and the students enjoyed learning English.
