This research used a close and open-ended questionnaire that was distributed to the raters. The result of the analysis data shows that the translation strategies used by the translator are addition (17 data or 13.5%), deletion (10 data or 17.9%), borrowing or borrowing plus explanation (49 data or 38.8%), naturalization (8 data or 6.4%), transposition from plural into singular (18 data or 14.2%), transposition from modifier-head (M-H) into head-modifier (H-M) (2 data or 1.6%), shift from word into phrase (8 data or 6.4%), shift from phrase into word (4 data or 3.2%), transposition from active into passive (5 data or 4%), transposition from passive into active (1 datum or 0.8%), transposition from interrogative into declarative (1 datum or 0.8%), transposition from imperative into declarative (2 data or 1.6%), and transposition from simple sentence into compound sentence (1 datum or 0.8%). Dealing with the accuracy of the translation, the results are as follows: translation that was accurate with score mean 1.0-1.5 covered 99 data or 83.2%, translation that is not so accurate with score mean 1.6-2.5 covered 19 data or 15.9%, and translation that is inaccurate with score mean 2.6-3.0 covered 1 datum or 0.9%. The mean of all scores given by the raters is 1.1. The figure 1.1 is able to be interpreted as the translation of the manual text of Sony Ericsson T630 is almost perfect since the mean is close to the highest accuracy scale. To conclude, the translator succeeds in translating the manual text. The researcher recommended that a translator should produce a quality translation and reduce some mistakes in translating manual text, such as the use of proper diction. He/she should also reduce the use of loan word. It should be used as a reference by other researchers to conduct a further research related to this study and the result of the research should be advantageous as one of the informational sources for the students to enlarge and sharpen knowledge of the translation, especially translation of manual texts.
