Kadar logam cd (kadmium) dalam daging kerang thothok (geloina erosa), air, dan sedimen mangrove di segara anakan Cilacap

The aims of this research were to find out the concentration of Cd at meat shell, water, and soil sediment of mangrove, to find out the different of Cd heavy metal at meat shell, water, and soil sediment at Muara Dua, Motean, and Lomanis, and to find out the correlation between the concentration of Cd and the environmental parameters.
This research was conducted in June-November 2005. The data collection was done at 3 stations, i.e. Muara Dua, Motean, and Lomanis. The water and sediment were taken in ± 3 meter deep from water surface. The shell were taken randomly. The Cd heavy metal was analyzed by AAS (Atomic Absorbance Spectrophotometer). The measure was also done for the environment parameter such as temperature and pH.
The research showed that the average of measurement at three stations: the concentration of Cd heavy metal at shell 0.05 mg/kg, at water 0.04 ppm, at sediment 0.12 mg/kg, temperature 30.8oC, and pH 7.66. The highest concentration of Cd was found at sediment. The concentrations of Cd at three stations were statistically almost the same. The correlation between the concentration of Cd at meat shell and temperature showed the indirectly correlation, the value was +0.193. The correlation between the concentration of Cd at water, sediment, and temperature showed the indirectly correlation, the values were -0.038 and -0.174. The concentration of Cd at meat shell, water, and pH showed the indirectly correlation, the values were -0.070 and -0.125. The concentration of Cd at sediment and pH showed the directly significant correlation, the value was +0.699.
