Teaching Vocabulary Using Pictures to The Third Grade Students of SD Negeri Gumpang 01 Sukoharjo

This final project is written based on the job training which has been done as an English teacher in SD Negeri Gumpang 01 Sukoharjo. The objectives of this report are to describe the application of teaching English vocabulary using pictures, to find out the problems, and to provide solutions in teaching English vocabulary to the third grade students.
In collecting the data, I consulted with English teacher of SD Negeri Gumpang 01 Sukoharjo to get more information about the school and discussed the material that would be taught based on the curriculum. The process of teaching English vocabulary to the third grade students of SD Negeri Gumpang 01 Sukoharjo consists of five steps: Opening, Reviewing, Main Activity, Assessment and Closing. In teaching vocabulary, the pictures was used as the media. Pictures brought benefits in the learning process and made the learning process more effective.
In the learning process, the problems were found the process of teaching vocabulary to the third grade of SD Negeri Gumpang 01. The problems were mispronounced words, misbehavior, and remembering letters of the words. In this final project, I also gave the solutions to solve the problems.
I hope this final project report can be a useful reference to the teachers of SD Negeri Gumpang 01 to improve their performance and the English Diploma students to conduct the final project on the similar problems.
