Clay is a soil that has a low bearing capacity because of one of its properties, namely high water content. Clay soil conditions can be improved in various ways, one of them by the electroosmosis method. Electroosmosis is a method of soil improvement using direct current electricity. An electric current will bind the water and flow from the positive pole (anode) to the negative pole (cathode). This method is expected to affect water content, soil weight, and Atterberg limit. This research varies the duration of electroosmosis and the voltage difference used. The variations used are time for 3 and 5 days and the voltage variations used are 0 V, 4.5 V, 9 V, and 12 V. The parameters observed from this test are water content, soil weight, Atterberg limit, and pH value
The results obtained from this study are changes with a lower water content value by 19.07%, a bulk density value of 2.1% greater, a liquid limit value of 12.48% lower, a plastic limit value of 8.15% lower, and a plasticity index value of 16.08% lower. The change in pH value occurs from 7 to 6. These results indicate that soil becomes denser because water is flowing and the soil fills the pores left behind by the soil.
