ABSTRAK
This research is aimed to analyze Metaphor of Emotion in Adele's songs. The data used in this research were Adele?s song lyrics taken from three albums: 19 (2010), 21 (2011), and 25 (2015). Besides analyzing metaphor of emotion that were found, this research also discusses the characteristics of the metaphor of emotion of each album and compares them. From data results of this research, the researcher found metaphor of anger, metaphor of sadness, and metaphor of love. This research concludes that metaphor of emotion in Adele's songs are conceptualized as forces, which are a natural force, physical force, opponent, burden, insanity, and other specific source domain that especially used in a metaphor of love. Each Adele?s song album also has a different pattern of a metaphor of emotion?s use and a variety of metaphor of emotion?s types.
