Translating English Children Story Books into Indonesian Language at Ganesa Library Sukoharjo

The objectives of this report are to describe (1) the activities the writer did during internship, (2) the translation steps and (3) problems during internship.
There were four activities done by the writer namely (a) Translating Children’s story books from English into Indonesian Language, (b) Participating in Ganesa English Speaking (GES), (c) Participating in Story Telling and (d) Participating in Ganesa Reading Community (GRC). In doing the first activy, the writer had six steps, choosing and reading the children’s English story books, translating children’s English story books, adjusting the font size as well as making the text boxes in Microsoft Word, editing translation, checking translation with supervisor and lastly printing, cutting, sticking, and labelling. Problems faced during the internship were in translating difficult terms, finding idioms, connecting to the internet connection, difficulties in the Ganesa English Speaking (GES) and difficulties in Story Telling.
