Tourism nowadays becomes one of many aspects that can increase the economy growth in Indonesia. Jepara, a small regency in Central Java, Indonesia, has very great potential in tourism. As a student from English Diploma Program, the writer wants to help to promote Jepara tourism by conducting an internship in Tourism Information Center (TIC) of Jepara Regency. The internship started on January 30th to February 28th,
2017. There, the writer translated articles about Jepara tourism from Bahasa Indonesia into English. The writer was not only translating but also opening an information booth, uploading website contents and observing tourism objects in Jepara.
During the internship, the writer faced some problems such as finding specific terms, translating complex sentences, or finding repetitions. In this report, the writer explained all of the problems and its solutions experienced by her during the translation process and other activities.
