ABSTRAK
This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic factors, a country's level of corruption, internet penetration, and cultural differences with terrorism incidents that occurred in Asia. Research is limited from the 1998-2017 because terror incidents at that time in Asia increased significantly. The method used in this research is through a panel data approach involving 30 countries in Asia. The results of this study are the macroeconomic conditions using GDP per capita have a negative relationship with terror incidents, in line with that, government spending in the military sector also has a negative and significant relationship. The results also showed other factors, namely a high level of corruption and a collective culture that tends to be the cause of terror. On the one hand, the results also show a difference with the hypothesis in this study that unemployment and the level of final government spending have a positive and significant relationship to terrorism.
