The english teaching process in the 4th grade of SDN Tegalmade 01 Sukoharjo

ABSTRACT 2008.This final project is intended to describe the teaching English Process for 4th Grade of SDN Tegalmade 01 in Sukoharjo Regency in academic year 2007/2008. The purpose is to know and understand the teaching activities in the class, the material given, the problems in teaching, and the solutions. The teaching activities in the class consisted of building knowledge of field, modeling of text, join construction, and independent construction of text. There are pair work, game, and song together to increase the students’ participations and language use. In English teaching process, the teacher and the students used handbook named Enjoy Your English and an exercise book, Fokus. The class activities consist of greeting, reviewing, presentation, and evaluation. Based on the discussion, the writer tries to present the solution to solve the obstacles faced in teaching English activity and suggestion to improve the quality of English class at SDN Tegalmade 01, Sukoharjo.
