Background: Daily emergency conditions are increasing and are at risk of increasing mortality and morbidity in the community. Efforts to reduce the risk of emergency cases must be planned systematically by involving the community as the first responder. Purpose: The community is able to understand and know the role of first responders in emergency cases in the context of emergency first aid. Method: Community empowerment has been carried out with question and answer lectures and discussions with the media module beginning with the pre test and ending with the post test. Results: There was an increasing in the posttest value compared to the pretest value (Pretest = 52, posttest = 73 and difference = 21). Conclusion: This activity was carried out with an increase in understanding of the community about the role of the first respondent in daily emergency cases.
