Perancangan Media Komunikasi Visual Game Edukasi Pengenalan Pasar Tradisional Bernilai Historis di Surakarta

Traditional markets are currently less attractive to the younger generation, this is the background of the author to educate the younger generation of Indonesia, especially the Surakarta area, by using new learning media to introduce historically valuable traditional markets in Surakarta. Games are popular among the younger generation, so games are a factor in the selection of this new learning media, with historical games and stories emerging from traditional markets in Surakarta that can be conveyed through in-game narratives. Game development begins with concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing and finally distribution, this educational game is developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, in this method the game production will go through several stages, this traditional market-themed game will developed in the form of a prototype so that the game is still in alpha phase. Based on the results of alpha testing, the game still has many shortcomings, we hope with this educational game the younger generation will be more educated about traditional markets in Indonesia, especially Surakarta and its surroundings.
