The waiters and waitresses of Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop in Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo

ABSTRACT 2008. This report is based on the job training in Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo as a staff of Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop. It is the only one coffee shop in the hotel which gives the second biggest income for the hotel. Therefore, the importance of waiters and waitresses is very crucial in the coffee shop. This final project has objectives to describe the requirements of waiters and waitresses, to describe the standard services done by the waiters and waitresses in handling the guest complaints and to explain the importance of waiters and waitresses of Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the waiters and waitresses must have some requirements to be professional waiters and waitresses, they must be able to handle the guest complaints using the standard services and they hold the importance to the hotel restaurant activities and the hotel itself. The writer also gives some suggestions to the Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo, the Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop including its staffs, the English Diploma Program and its students.
