Abstrak
A Content Analysis on the Official English Textbook "Bahasa Inggris" for Senior High School

This research was aimed to investigate the quality textbook “Bahasa Inggris” fulfill the criteria of a good quality textbook as suggested by Alan Cunningsworth. The study employs non-interactive qualitative method, which is also known as content or documentary analysis. The findings of the study show that the textbook fits the criteria of a good textbook suggested by Alan Cunningsworth, which are Aim of the Book, Design and Organization, Language Content, Skills, Topic, Methodology but there is no teacher's book included in the course package. Bahasa Inggris is an ideal textbook for teaching and learning in high school or vocational high school. The textbook can still be utilized to teach English in Vocational High School, according to this study, but it is not the only source of material. It is preferable for teachers to supply more resources. Also, if it is possible to meet Cunningsworth's requirements for an excellent textbook, the author of the Bahasa Inggris textbook can rewrite the textbook.
