This final project discusses about the problems in learning English faced by the sixth grade students of this Islamic Elementary School. Based on the observation done by the writer, she found that there were some problems hamper the students in learning English. They are the lack of facilities, the English teacher with no related educational background, less motivation of the students in following English learning teaching process, mispronunciation and limited vocabularies. MIN Nglungge has incomplete facilities to support in English teaching and learning process such as no language laboratory; limited games songs, and pictures; no function library; and no English cassette. The English teacher has no related educational background which it will influence the students’ pronunciation and spelling. The sixth grade students have less motivation in following English learning teaching process. The last two problems faced by the students are mispronunciation and limited vocabularies. The students’ pronunciation still needs to correct and their vocabularies also need to add. There are some solutions for the problems above given by the writer. For the lack of facilities problem, the headmaster of MIN Nglungge should try to complete the facilities. For the English teacher who has no related educational background, she should be always up date her English knowledge and her ability. For the less motivation of the students in following the English learning teaching process, English teacher should be able to make the students feel comfort while following the process. It can be done by telling story, singing a song, or making a joke. Solution for mispronunciation of the students is that the English teacher should pronounce the English words correctly and always repeat the difficult words. For the limited vocabularies problem, the students should write down the difficult words with the Indonesian and memorize them.
