The duties of waiter and waitress at “Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop” at Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo

ABSTRACT 2008.One of the important elements of hotel is restaurant. Restaurant is part of the food and beverage department in the hotel. The waiter and waitress must do the responsibilities and serve the guests with the best service to make them satisfied. This final project has two objectives. The first objective is to explain the facilities and the services in the Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo. The second objective is to describe the duties of waiter and waitress at Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop. The writer finds some conclussions of the duties of waiter and waitress at Ratu Ratih Coffee Shop. The duties of waiter and waitress in the morning shift are focused on handling breakfast and handling lunch. The duties of waiter and waitress in the evening shift are focused on handling dinner and set up for breakfast. In each work-shifts, the waiter and waitress have same duties. It is reading and writing message or information in the log book. It is used for the smooth operationals in each work-shift.
