Regional Community Information System at Sebelas Maret University. Diploma III Study Program in Informatics Engineering, Vocational School, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta.
The Regional Community usually called “komda” is one of the student organizations at Sebelas Maret University to help new students. Many komda have been formed at Sebelas Maret University, komda from the island of Sumatra to the island of Papua. Komda was formed with the aim of being a gathering place for students from the same area. Komda also often participates in activities held by campus, both educational, social, and cultural activities. Therefore, the Komda can help new students to adapt to the environment in Solo, especially Sebelas Maret University. However, the lack of information and the absence of a special platform for the regional commanders at Sebelas Maret University are a problem for new students.
The method used in this system using the waterfall includes, among others: data collection, analysis, data design, implementation, and system testing. This information system is made using the PHP programming language and is supported by the Codeigniter framework.
In its implementation, this system is used by campus organizations, namely the Student Executive Board for local community management at Sebelas Maret University. This system can manage local communities, members and discussion forums. With this system, it is hoped that it will make it easier to get information about local communities.
