IMPLEMENTASI NILAI-NILAI MODERASI BERAGAMA PADA SMA KHADIJAH DAN SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 2 SURABAYA

Indonesia as a plural and pluralistic country has its own challenges in maintaining the harmony of social life. The emergence of various understandings and schools of thought in religion makes the characteristics of social life more complex. This also has a positive and negative impact on social life, especially in Indonesia. So the need for understanding religious moderation for educational institutions in regulating the understanding, attitudes and behavior of its members in order to maintain the plurality and plurality of social life. This study aims to determine the meaning and form of religious moderation in SMA Khadijah and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 and their impact on students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method which is analyzed with social construction theory. Data was collected by interview and documentation study and to collect data using purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that . The meaning of religious moderation for SMA Khadijah and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya is to form students and students not to have liberal or radical views in terms of religious understanding. The form of implementation of the value of religious moderation at SMA Khadijah and SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya consists of 3 aspects, namely the curriculum, extracurricular activity programs and daily activities programs. the efforts that have been made in instilling the values ??of religious moderation are none other than to reconstruct and shape the attitudes and behavior of students so that when they are in society they can blend in with the social environment.
