This final report was written based on my internship program at Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah, which started from January 11th until March 5th, 2021. The main objective of this internship report is to describe the activities during the internship. The internship program is divided into two activities: the main activity and the additional activity. The main activity is translating an illustrated children’s storybook entitled Kisah Julela dan Jenang Perkasa, while the additional activity is translating Language and Literature Information Sheet and poetry.
There were several problems encountered during the translation activity. These problems are related to the choice of words, equivalents, and cultural terms. Another inhibiting factor is the less supporting facilities, such as poor Wi-Fi connection. In this report, the writer also presents solutions to overcome problems during the translation process, such as finding reference sources from journals and websites, and using CAT Tools.
