This internship program was held from January 25th to April 28th, 2022 at PT. STAR Software Indonesia’s representative office in Yogyakarta. The purposes of this internship program are: 1) improving the skills, knowledge, and competencies in translating documents and making subtitling, 2) practicing my competencies in translating automotive texts in the real translation industry, and 3) preparing for the challenges of the world of work, especially in the language and translation industry. Nida and Taber’s translation process were used in translating projects at PT STAR Software Indonesia, especially when translating Ferarri’s Android Auto and Apple Carplay User Manuals.There was a problem when translating it, which is the specific terms. To solve the problem, I searched for the parallel texts to find the right equivalence on Google and finding the meaning on dictionaries, such as Cambridge Dictionary, Merriam Webster, and etc.
