One of the most difficult difficulties for most businesses is dealing with the competitiveness of e-commerce in the face of continually altering customer demand. Last mile delivery performance has become the most important component in the relationship between an e-commerce shop and an end consumer, as it may either develop or break the bond, which has a direct impact on the client's reordering choice. As a result, maintaining cost effectiveness and great service quality is critical for last mile service providers to flourish in online business.

Unfortunately, most last-mile plans fail due to a lack of thorough research on the expectations of key stakeholders such as merchants, last-mile service providers, and customers. This investigation focuses on eliminating inefficiencies in last mile delivery by identifying the factors that should be considered when implementing a last mile strategy by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of current practices using qualitative and quantitative analysis with key stakeholders involved in last mile delivery in Sierra Leone.
