This internship report was written based on my experience during the internship program at Pro Translasi, Malang, which was conducted from March 1st to April 22nd, 2022. The objectives of the internship are 1) to apply the translation knowledge, skills, and competence I learned on campus, 2) to learn the process of producing a high-quality translation, 3) to practice self-discipline in working as a translator, and 4) to learn the workflow at a translation agency. This internship report aims to describe the internship activities at Pro Translasi, which are divided into two categories: the main activity and the additional activities. The main activity describes the translation process and the translation problems and solutions of the children’s storybook, Ginger the Giraffe. The additional activities consist of all the activities during the internship program, including translating, subtitling, and copywriting. To translate all the translation projects, I used the translation process stated by Nida and Taber, consisting of three stages: analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. The problems during the translation process were localizing the characters' names and producing acceptable and readable translations for both children and their parents (adults). The strategies to solve the problems were using the pronunciations of the proper names to localize them and using the communicative translation method by adapting the message of the source text into the target culture and language form to produce an acceptable and readable translation for the potential target readers.
