This final report was written based on the internship activity at Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah which was conducted from January 11th, 2021 to March 5th, 2021. This final report describes the activities during the internship period. My main activity is translating an illustrated children's storybook entitled "Persahabatan yang Menguatkan" from Indonesian into English. In an effort to produce good translation results, I implemented some translation steps, including analyzing, transferring, and restructuring.
Meanwhile, there were some problems I faced during my internship. The problems related to translation process and general problems. Problems related to translation I encountered were unfamiliar terminology and difficulty in assessing the quality of the translation itself. To solve these problems, I looked up the meaning of difficult words in KBBI and asked my friends to help me assess the quality of my translation. On the other hand, the general problems were the unstable internet network and an insufficiency of laptop battery. To solve them, I had to check the internet network when translating and fully charge my laptop before translating them.
