ABSTRACT
Surakarta Branch of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) is one of financial instructions collecting fund from the society in the form of saving, clearing, term-deposit, as well as distributing it in the form of loan (credit). The following discussion elaborates the credit issuance system for micro-and small-business (KUMK) conducted by the Surakarta Branch of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero).
This study aims to find out whether the KUMK system in Surakarta Branch of PT. BTN (Persero) has been conducted effectively and efficiently. This research was done using observation and interview methods. Meanwhile the data types employed were primary and secondary data obtained from the company.
Based on the result of research, it can be found the weakness and strength of the KUMK system in Surakarta Branch of PT. BTN (Persero). The strength includes: the process of credit issuance had applied the principle of “5Cs” analysis and had conducted the field survey to asses the credit reasonability, the credit analysis involved the branch manager and credit decision making was based on the Credit Group Meeting (RKK), as well as there is the authority system and recording procedure corresponding to the accounting principle. Meanwhile the weakness includes: the KUMK application form has not made specifically and with no printed-sequenced number, there is function integration of loan service and loan administration functions, as well as the standard symbols has not been used in the flowchart of KUMK issuance system.
Based on the findings of strength and weakness, the writer can conclude and give recommendation for the better KUMK issuance system. The conclusion of research is that the Surakarta Branch of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) had conducted the credit issuance system for micro-and small-business (KUMK) well. Meanwhile the recommendation includes the KUMK application form should be made specifically and with printed-sequenced number, there should be a function separation of loan service and loan administration, as well as the use of flowchart in the KUMK issuance system for by the Surakarta Branch of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero).
