The objectives of this research are to classify types of negation markers used by the characters in Warkop DKI Reborn 3 movie, to analyze functions of the negation markers used by the characters in Warkop DKI Reborn 3 movie, to identify the translation techniques used by the translator in rendering the Indonesian negation markers, and to investigate impacts of the translation techniques on the translation quality in term of accuracy.

This research used descriptive qualitative research method. The sources of data included documents and informants. They all consisted of Indonesian negation markers in forms of words and phrases taken from the dialogues of a movie entitled Warkop DKI Reborn 3 movie. Meanwhile, the informants were two raters who validated the data and assessed together with the researcher the quality of translation in term of accuracy. In determining the sources of data, this research applied a purposive sampling technique for choosing sources of data. In collecting the data, this research applied content analysis and focus group discussion.

Most of the negation markers translated using standardization are categorized as accurate. The negation marker is not lost and the meaning contained can be conveyed. Some of the data, however, are categorized as less accurate because the meaning of the negation markers in the target language is explained in different way. In addition, deletion lowers the accuracy level because it makes some of meaning of the target language shift. It causes less accurate and inaccurate translation. Interestingly, one of the data is translated using vocabulary representation which makes the target language containing a dialect marker while the source language is in standard language. However, it is still an accurate translation since the meaning is not shifted and the negation markers exist.
