× ABSTRACT Background of this problem is caused of world economic development trough exchange world like export- import which developed rapidly. It causes a lot of import goods which entered to Indonesia increasingly, so that the government try maximally to control, regulate and give limitation goods traffic which entered to Indonesia trough land, air and sea track. Prohibition is done for selecting good entered to the area of customs office. The goal of the research is to know how the handling of prohibition results of goods until auction process extermination, it is also to know whatever type, kind or character of the goods which can be auctioned and inclusive in the classification of the good which can be auctioned or exterminated. From the results which have been done by author in the control and service office type A Surakarta, the conclusion can be made that mechanism of the handling prohibition result goods and until auction process or extermination is very complex and complicated, because the prohibition results goods have various kinds of character and specific and It inclusive in what classification the goods which can be auctioned or exterminated are. The use of prohibition result goods which is auctioned or exterminated is to protect one of the numbers of nation incomes, namely an income from entrance tax in customs office. Suggestion which can be given is that it needs more socialization of existing regulation in the office of tax control and service type A Surakarta and give facility or easiness to the public society about the importance of caring their brings, especially for public society who often make far journey, particularly go to abroad with using or entering trough land , air and sea line so that it can minimize all of legal form activity which happened in the area of customs office for the need of Indonesian nation economic.
