Nurul Hanifa. 2023. Creating and Translating Promotional Captions for Nava Hotel Tawangmangu’s Instagram Account from Indonesian into English. English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret This report was written based on the internship program conducted at Nava Hotel Tawangmangu, Karanganyar, Central Java, from January 4th to March 3rd, 2023. The program's objectives are to apply translation theories and practice I obtained from the campus into the real world of work, experience the working environment in the industry, and gain more knowledge in creating and translating promotional content for the hospitality industry. This final report aims to describe the process of creating and translating captions for Nava Hotel Tawangmangu's Instagram captions, identify the problems raised, and explain the solutions. Two main issues are encountered when creating and translating the promotional content captions, i.e. finding equivalent words and making the translation more interesting for target readers. The solutions I took to solve these problems were looking for similar references and adjusting them with the contents I made. Besides that, I also looked for synonyms for words and added persuasive sentences to make them more attractive to target readers.
