This final project report is based on the job training done at SD Widya Wacana X Kartasura, Sukoharjo within 2 months. The writer took the 3rd grade as a subject to be observed. The writer chose 3rd as the subject because the writer was interested in the material of the English lesson in this class. The final project report is focused on the use of gesture in learning English and followed by the application and the effectiveness of this method.
The objectives in this final project report are to find out the application of using gesture in learning English and to find out the effectiveness of using this method. In this final project report, the writer took unit 9 of Gogo Loves English book entitled “ What Are You Doing ?”.
To find out the conclusion of the objectives, the writer did an observation and teaching activity. In conclusion, the application of gesture in learning English is used in some topics and it is designed in a simple way of explanation. The effectiveness of using gesture can be seen through the students’ interest and enthusiastic in studying English and doing the tasks.
