Orchid plants have attractive flowers because of their varied colors, shapes, and sizes. The Dendrobium stratiotes orchid has several advantages; unique flowers with spiral-shaped petals, fragrant flower aroma, and flowers that don’t fall off easily. Orchid is an ornamental plant that is an essential commodity in the international trade market because of the beauty of its flowers. This study aims to examine the effect of kinetin and tomato extract on orchid growth and obtain the best concentration for developing Dendrobium stratiotes orchids in vitro on 1 /2 MS media. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, from July to December 2022. The results showed that the interaction of kinetin and tomato extract treatments significantly affected plant height, number of roots, number of leaves, and fresh weight. Application of kinetin significantly affected plant height, number of shoots and roots, time of emergence of roots and shoots, and fresh weight.
