This research aims to (1) investigate the impact of concentrations on theconductivity of the iron-graphene and (2) assess the eligibility of the module basedon conductive graphene as teaching material for direct current electricity subjectsin grade XII high school students. This research uses experimentation and researchand development (R&D) methods. Graphene is a newly discovered material withremarkable electrical, optical, and physical properties. Iron-graphene compositeoffers several advantages in enhancing its conductivity. By integrating iron particlesinto the graphene structure, charge transfer within the composite was facilitated,leading to improved electrical conductivity. Iron-graphene was synthesized frompencil graphite by applying 15 V direct current to four different concentrations.Results showed that a higher concentration enhanced the conductivity, with aconductivity value of 0.11 S/m. Additionally, the solution concentration impactsthe amount of iron attached to graphene, reaction rate, electrical current (0.6 A–1.1A), and thickness of the graphene produced. The results of graphene films are thendemonstrated as teaching material as a module for direct current electricity subjectsfor grade XII high school students. The module developed is eligible forimplementation in physics learning with an average score of 69.5, which falls underthe excellent category.
