This internship report was written based on the internship program at the
UNS Language UPT, which began on January 16 and ended on March 11, 2023. This report aims to describe and explain offline internship activities at the UPT Bahasa UNS. UPT P2B is a technical implementation unit on language development and services whose operation is coordinated by Vice Rector I of UNS. I chose UPT Language UNS because UPT Bahasa UNS offers services related to translation for UNS students and the general public. This is, of course, very relevant to the lessons I learned in college. During my internship at UPT Bahasa UNS, I was asked to translate tax letters and educational articles. Then, when translating tax forms, the obstacle I faced was legal terms that were still foreign to me. Several technical problems, such as an unstable signal and an unsupported laptop, also hampered the apprenticeship. In dealing with translator problems, the strategy adopted is to find more references regarding difficult terms, use translation methods and techniques according to experts, and read examples of translation results from the UPT Bahasa UNS. The strategy for dealing with technical issues is to find a place with adequate signal, restart the laptop, and ask for an extension. Apart from translating, my activities include retyping IELTS material and becoming an Indonesian tutor for Kokushikan University students from Japan.
