Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University, 2024.</p><p>The objectives of this research are: (1) to find out the pre-service EFL teachers’ perception of the Micro Teaching course. (2) to reveal the contributions of Micro Teaching course for pre-service EFL teachers’ self-efficacy during their participation in the teaching practicum program. This research was conducted at a university in Surakarta. The subjects of this research were two pre-service English teachers who completed the Micro Teaching course and had implemented the teaching practicum program. This research adapts the biographical narrative investigation method and collects data through narrative frames and interviews. This research investigates the perceptions of pre-service teachers in Micro Teaching courses and reveals how the Micro Teaching course contributes to pre-service EFL teachers&#39; self-efficacy during their teaching practicum program. The findings from this research showed that 1) pre-service EFL teachers had a positive perceptions of the Micro Teaching course; 2) The Micro Teaching course contributes to pre-service EFL teachers&#39; self-efficacy because in the Micro Teaching course they got the factors that influence the source of their self-efficacy. Through this, pre-service EFL teachers are expected to realize and aware that Micro Teaching is important for them in preparing themselves for the teaching practicum program. It is hoped that lecturers in the Micro Teaching course will be able to facilitate their students in taking the Micro Teaching class.</p>
