ABSTRACTxvTHE EFECTIVITY OF FOCUS SCRIPT TRANSACTIONALANALYSIS ON DEPRESSION MILITARY PATIENT,A MIXED METHOD STUDYDepression is characterized by a number of symptoms whose manifestationsvary and can cause a person to experience severe and bad suffering at work, schooland in the family. Transactional Analysis (AT) is a theory of personality as well asa psychotherapy that systematically deals with personal development and personalchange.This study uses a Mixed Methods Research design, focusing on datacollection and analysis and combining quantitative and qualitative data. Thenumber of subjects each 16 people in two groups. The data was obtained by takingby selecting a number of patients of TNI soldiers who experienced depressionconditions who were undergoing treatment at the Keswa Care Installation of theGatot Soebroto Army Hospital. The data collection method was carried out throughinterview sessions and filling out the Complete Transactional Analysisquestionnaire which was considered feasible after being tested for validity andreliability. The transactional analysis intervention session was in the interview andwas conducted 1 time, the meeting was held 12 times or until the data saturationwas met, each for 20 minutes.This study will develop a complete transactional analysis instrument that isvalid and reliable and proves that the transactional analysis instrument is effectivelyused as a measuring tool, psychotherapy, and finding depression in soldiers.The complete Transactional Analysis questionnaire obtained a total of 177valid and reliable questions. Depression scores were assessed by the BDIquestionnaire which resulted in a significant decrease in depression scores afterbeing given the ATFS intervention with p = <0>Analysis of depression scores based on the HDRS questionnaire found a significantdecrease in depression scores after being given the AFTS intervention with p value= <0>decrease in cortisol levels with p value = <0>analyzed the degree of quality before and after the intervention was carried out, theresults obtained were improvements in the degree of quality of life, globalimprovements, and significant therapeutic effects with p value = <0>
