This research examines the application of Translation Techniques found in the Dubbed Original Soundtrack Song in Disney Movie The Little Mermaid as well as its influence in Translation Quality Assessment. The researcher focused on analyzing the different kinds of Translation Techniques used by the translator and the results that influence the quality of translation. This research classified descriptive qualitative. The relevant data in this research was delivered in the form of song lines that have been translated by the translator and sung by the voice actor in the movie. The findings indicate that there are 13 translation techniques that have been discovered; Established Equivalence (113), Linguistic Compression (44), Discursive Creation (36), Modulation (35), Paraphrasing (32), Variation (16), Linguistic Amplification (11), Reduction (10), Adaptation (5), Borrowing (5), generalization (5), Transposition (4), and Compensation (3). Meanwhile, the translation quality scores in terms of Accuracy and Acceptability are 2.5 and 2.8 respectively. Because each of the scores is close to a perfect score according to the Translation Quality Assessment (3.0 point), the translation is considered as accurate and acceptable.
