× This research belongs to a qualitative research employing descriptive method. It is aimed to describe the translation techniques occur in the translation from the website It is also aimed to find out the accuracy and acceptability of the website This research applied purposive sampling as the sampling technique, since the samples were chosen and determined by the researcher. This research was conducted based on primary and secondary data. The primary data consists of 297 numbers of data translation taken from the website and their translation. The secondary data were taken by distributing questionnaires to some raters. The result of data analysis shows that there are 9 types of techniques used by the translator. The techniques are literal translation which covers 229 data (48.83%), borrowing technique which covers 103 data (21.96%), linguistic compression which covers 52 data (11.09%), modulation technique which covers 40 data (8.53%), established equivalent which covers 28 data (5.98%), linguistic amplification which covers 7 data (1.49%), amplification which covers 5 data (1.07%), discursive creative which covers 4 data (0.85%) and generalization technique which covers 1 data (0.21%). The analysis on accuracy shows that the average score of equivalence/accuracy in content is 2.87. It means that most of the sentences of the TT are evaluated as accurate (communicating the same message/content) by the raters since the score mean of accurate qualification ranges from 2.4 to 3.0. In fact, there are only 24 data (8.08 %) said as less accurate and 3 other data (1.01 %) are inaccurate, while 270 others (90.91 %) are evaluated as accurate. The analysis on acceptability shows that the average score of acceptability is 2, 85. It means that most of the sentences of the target text are evaluated as acceptable since the score mean of acceptable qualification ranges from 2.4 to 3.0. In fact, there are only 21 data (7,07 %) are less acceptable translation, and 4 data (1.35 %) are unacceptable translation, while the rest 272 data (91.58 %) are acceptable translation. It is hoped that this thesis will be beneficial for the students as one of the additional source to enlarge and sharpen knowledge related with website translation. Moreover, they can use this research as a reference to conduct a further research related to this study. The researcher also hopes that this thesis can also stimulate other researchers to conduct a further study related to translation as a part of localization. This research is also recommended to the localization subject as a basic consideration in localizing a website and the translator in translating website.
