×<p>The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) is one of the indicators used to measure the social welfare of the community. Based on data from Central Statistics Agency in 2022, Kepulauan Riau Province was ranked second in the province with the highest TPT in Indonesia, which amounted to 8.09 percent. A high TPT rate can cause economic development to be hampered. This research aims to further analyze the factors that influence TPT in Kepulauan Riau Province. This research will use a panel data regression method that combines cross section and time series data. The research data used was obtained from the official website of the Kepualaun Riau Province Statistics Agency, in the form of 7 district/city data as cross section data with a range of years 2018 to 2022 as time series data. There are four factors that are thought to affect the TPT in Kepulauan Riau Province, namely the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (PDRB), labor force participation rate (TPAK), district/city minimum wage (UMK), and average years of schooling (RLS). There are three panel data regression model estimates used, namely the common effect model, fixed effect model, and random effect model. The results showed that the best model was the fixed effect model with a coefficient of determination of 90.79 percent. In addition, the variables of GRDP growth rate and UMK have a significant effect on TPT in Kepulauan Riau Province.</p>
