Gabriella Febriana Prameswari, 2024, Creating and Translating Storytelling Script and Making Voice Over for Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel's Cinematic Commercial Profile

This internship report is written based on the internship program that was carried out at the Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel, starting from February 5 to May 6, 2024. The main activities of my internship include content writing for Instagram materials, copywriting and translation for Instagram captions, and writing and translating press release documents. However, my main focus in this report is writing and translating scripts for the commercial profile project and making bilingual voice over (in English and Indonesian). I encountered challenges in understanding the historical background and translating Javanese cultural terms. To overcome these hurdles, I conducted extensive research to ensure accurate and contextual translations by finding definitions, equivalents, synonyms, and parallel texts that are context-specific so that the meaning of the source language can be conveyed accurately and can be accepted and readable in the target language. My internship experience at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel provided valuable learning experiences, equipping me with skills that can contribute to my professional growth. Through the Cinematic Commercial Profile project, on which I collaborated with the team from Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel, I had many valuable experiences that I had never had before. Not only my hard skills were developed in this project, but my soft skills were also trained, such as how to work together in a team, so that it could produce the most optimal results possible. I also learned to multi-task because, besides Creating and Translating the Storytelling Script, I also made the voice over for the Cinematic Commercial Profile. There are so many valuable experiences and lessons that Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel has given me. Based on this experience, I recommend considering Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel as a potential industry partner for future internship programs, as it offers a conducive environment for experiential learning within the parameters of academic regulations.
