×<p dir="ltr" xss="removed" xss=removed>The main objectives of this research are to (1) find out the structural features of imperative sentences identified in the novel Caraval by Stephanie Garber, (2) to find out the types of imperative functions in the novel Caraval by Stephanie Garber, (3) to find out the translation techniques used in translating imperative sentences in the Caraval novel by Stephanie Garber, and (4) to find out how the translation techniques used affect the quality of the translation of imperative sentences in a novel Caraval by Stephanie Garber in terms of accuracy and acceptability. This research used descriptive-qualitative research with a single case design study and product oriented study. The data in this study consisted of linguistic data and translation data. The data were obtained from a source of data. The research used data analysis techniques divided into four steps in analyzing the research findings: domain analysis, taxonomy analysis, componential analysis, and theme analysis. The results show that imperative sentences using base form of verb with order/command function are the most frequently used. In this study 91 data belong to imperative sentences. In addition, 7 types of imperative functions out of 15 types proposed were found in this study, and all types of imperative structural features were identified in this study. This study found 1 single translation technique and 20 types of combinations of translation techniques. The results of translation quality (accuracy and acceptability) of imperative sentences in this study are qualified or well translated with a final translation quality score of 2.98. The translation quality scores are 3.00 for accuracy and 2.96 for acceptability. <br></p>
