This Internship Report was written based on the internship program at foxandbunny, and took place from February 12th, 2024, to April 5th, 2024. The internship was undertaken to fulfill the graduation requirements of the English Diploma Program and aimed to apply the skills acquired during three years of study, specifically in translating and editing. Additionally, this internship program aimed to describe the activities carried out at the internship institution and the challenges encountered during the two-month internship at foxandbunny. The objectives of my internship program were to develop adaptability skills in the workplace, foster self-discipline in a professional setting, understand workflow in the industrial sector, and build teamwork with colleagues. During this internship, I had the opportunity to enhance my ability to adapt to various situations and challenges in a professional environment. Self-discipline was crucial, as I had to adhere to company rules and policies while maintaining a strong work ethic. Additionally, I was involved in translating product descriptions from Indonesian to English, translating a parents' guidebook, and reviewing journal articles on bilingual language development in children and object permanence. I went through three stages to complete my main activity: preparation, translating, and evaluation. During the preparation stage, I studied all the products and the foxandbunny website and gathered the tools I needed for the translation process, such as a laptop, CAT tools, and online dictionaries. In the translation process, I used Nida and Taber's (1982) translation method of analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. For the translation I used Molina & Albir’s (2002) establish equivalent, description, and borrowing technique. In the evaluation stage, I encountered several technical and non-technical issues, which I successfully resolved. Additionally, I received feedback from foxandbunny, which indicated that I need to improve my ability to adapt and communicate ideas, as well as to complete translations before the deadline. The internship provided valuable experience in translating product descriptions and reviewing article journals for new product ideas. This hands-on experience was crucial in enhancing my understanding of translation processes and improving my research skills. Overall, the internship at foxandbunny significantly contributed to my professional growth, preparing me for a successful career in translation.
