According to Hasbullah (2020), horticultural commodities in particular plant commodities shallots have a high level of market demand such as cooking spices, food industry, medicine, and plant breeding. Shallots (Allium cepa L.) are one of the horticultural commodities which has an important role in the economy, especially in the sector agriculture. Shallots also have high economic value and demand stable market throughout the year. Production of shallots (Allium cepa L.) in East Java Province in 2023, namely 484,669 tons (BPS, 2022).
